.................................................................................................... October 2011 Move Over Celebrity Chefs! I was more than delighted to see The Aussie Dumb A*se Cookbook lined up on the front shelf next to other celebrity cookbooks at Pages and More Bookshop at Westlakes Shopping Centre in Adelaide recently.
Book 2 in the Pipeline Yes indeed; work has begun on a sequel – after all there is still so much to share! If you have any ideas for inclusions, drop me a line. I will be sure to keep all DA cooks posted on the progress. It won’t happen in a second, but it will happen! .................................................................................................... July 2011 Senior Citz Rock Thanks to the Cleve Activity group who invited me up to speak to some of their more senior residents. A bonus was the terrific book sales and the wonderful lunch they invited me to stay on for afterwards. (I can tell you that I was very tempted to join them in their Scrabble and cards after lunch but didn’t want to outstay my welcome!) .................................................................................................... April 2011 Triple J in Tumby Bay! In April our small town came alive to the tune of 10,000 hyped up I’m pretty chuffed to say that the band members of Art Vs Science, Thanks too to everyone who dropped by the book stand that weekend. Super Cool CWA Visit Later in April I was asked to talk at a combined CWA day on the history of the book. It was great to get to share the stories on how it all came about – but the best bit was……..(you guessed it), the awesome CWA morning tea that followed! Thanks ladies and I too, like to hope I am doing my bit to keep the art of cooking alive. .................................................................................................... April 2010 The Aussie Dumb A*se Cookbook Heads to the Big Smoke! The Aussie Dumb A*se Cookbook hit the ground running after a recent invitation from the Burnside Library to give a talk as part of their Youth Week celebrations. The fully booked out session gave the participants the chance to broaden their culinary knowledge with the Veggie Quiz before trying their hands at making Sushi.

NEW local author Lisa Fitzgerald never set out to write a book but when her son left home five years ago she typed out a copy of the dog-eared family recipe book to equip him to manage on his own, with the recipes he grew up with.
